The students of IIST gets the maximum opportunity to get into ISRO. Also there are not such a rigorous interview to get a job in ISRO if you are student of IIST. You just keep in mind that you must secure a CGPA of 8.5 or greater in order to be eligible for it. Keep on building the concepts and the skills, and you will not face any problem getting into ISRO.

IIST offers admissions to its programs based on 2 method. One is through JEE Advanced and other through seperately preparing IIST Rank . Following are the cutoff based on IIST rank in 2020.
Branch name - Opening Rank - Closing Rank
4-Year B.E./B.Tech. Course
5-Year B.Tech + M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Course
From above, it seems you have good Chances of getting admission into your desired branch. However the cutoff changes every year so if cutoff remains similar then you could get your branch of choice.

There are no such health requirement for student regarding the admission to the IIST course. Now professionally being an Aerospace Engineer or Avionics you have nothing to worry about the minus eye power. Having a negative eye power is quite common and it don't create any problem in your professional career until and unless you go for the army and other cases if there are requirements of eye health. In general there are no such regarding the engineers and if there exist then it would be for High power candidates having very low eye sight for 6.6,6/9 vision there are no problems in most of the case.

For IIST admission is done through JEE advanced score for BTech of the courses aerospace engineering, Avonics, electronics and communication engineering under the IST technical education. OBC NCL JEE advanced percentage in the opening of 53% closing 44.81% rank was in a closing 73 in the opening 73 e and closing 206 aerospace engineering, for Avonics -JEE advanced percentage marks 44.8% one in the opening and 42.73% in the closing. Rank wise in the opening 206 in the closing 318.
Under this OBC NCL category to take admission in IST Indian institute of science and technology iits through JEE advanced score candidate should have the rank at least 318 for admission.
