Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) was established in 2007 and awarded the status of deemed university by UGC. This college is situated in Thiruvananthapuram on Valiamala Road in the town of Valiamala, Kerala. This is the first college in Asia which is solely devoted to the study and research of outer space.

The placement structure is different for different courses. For BE/BTech the median salary for the year 2020 was around 7.6 lakhs, for M.E /M. Tech the median salary for the year 2020 was 8 lakhs.

You will receive guidance from ISRO Scientists to help you build your career. The Faculties are extremely qualified, all the necessary facilities for Avionics course is there. Coming to placements, if you score a good CGPA you can receive placements in ISRO,DRDO and some other prestigious places.

The students of IIST gets the maximum opportunity to get into ISRO. Also there are not such a rigorous interview to get a job in ISRO if you are student of IIST. You just keep in mind that you must secure a CGPA of 8.5 or greater in order to be eligible for it. Keep on building the concepts and the skills, and you will not face any problem getting into ISRO.
