If you are from a chemistry background then you can choose the GATE Chemistry paper as the paper to attempt. As a sub category choosing Chemical Engineering as a sub category will be a more convenient choice over Life Science.

The universities mentioned by you are very popular and good in terms of brand name, placements and in academic perspective.
But if I were to choose between these three I would recommend you to go for delhi university because for bsc and msc courses colleges like hansraj, hindu, Miranda house, lady sree ram , Ashoka are known for these courses. But if you are getting low colleges in du then i would say to go for iit bhu or jnu.
Hello Student
You have not mentioned the name of your college for which you are searching for separate hostels for boys and girls for PG life science student. In this regard it may be said that in BHU Banaras Hindu University the number of hostels is very few so there is the less chance for separate hostel for boys and girls for PG students of Life Science is not possible. But in Lalit Narayan Mithila University Darbhanga has separate hostels for boys and girls is available for pg life science chemistry or zoology and other PG courses Students automatically get the hostel facilities and other facilities which is very needed for the students within the campus of the university.

I would suggest if you are a life science student then go for the Allied Fields such as:
I am not sure, if you are eligible for the MSc Chemistry (if its allowed by any of your colleges) then you can go for it, but it wouldn't be the same as you have studied in your UG. In chemistry you will need knowledge regarding the Quantum Mechanics, Advanced Organic & Inorganic chemistry which, I don't think you have enough exposure to in your UG Life science course.
