Hello,
Yes, with an SC category and a defense quota, a NEET score in the 360-380 range offers a decent chance of securing a government MBBS seat, particularly in the lower-ranked government colleges or state quota, especially in the mop-up or second rounds of the counselling.
I hope it will clear your query!!
At KIMS Amalapuram, the internship stipend for MBBS students is generally reported to be around 20,000 per month, though some students have mentioned that in certain years no stipend was provided at all, which means it can vary depending on the policies in place at the time of your internship. To get the most accurate and updated information, it is always best to confirm directly with the college administration or recent interns, but on average, you can expect a stipend in the range of 18,000-20,000 per month during the compulsory rotating internship.
Hey! If you have a domicile of Madhya Pradesh but completed your MBBS from another state and belong to the General category, you are eligible for NEET PG admission under the All India Quota (AIQ). This means you can apply for seats anywhere in India based on your NEET PG rank. However, for the state quota seats in Madhya Pradesh, which are usually reserved for candidates who studied MBBS within the state, you may not be eligible. On the other hand, you can also consider applying to private and deemed universities across India, including those in Madhya Pradesh, depending on their specific admission rules. Make sure your internship is completed and you have proper registration with the Medical Council of India or the respective State Medical Council before applying.
Hey! If your dream is to do MBBS and later become a Cardiologist (MD/DM), then you need to follow a step-by-step path. First, complete your 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. After that, you must qualify NEET-UG to get admission into MBBS (5.5 years including internship). Once MBBS is completed, you have to clear NEET-PG to do MD in General Medicine. After MD, you need to clear NEET-SS for DM in Cardiology, which is the super-specialty course. So in short, the journey is 12th → NEET-UG → MBBS → NEET-PG → MD → NEET-SS → DM Cardiology. It’s a long process but with hard work and consistent preparation, it’s definitely achievable.
With an All India Rank (AIR) of 3,04,878 in NEET, it is very unlikely to get a government MBBS seat in India. Government medical colleges have very limited seats, and generally only candidates with ranks below 50,000–60,000 (for general category) have a chance.
What you can do:
Look for private medical colleges where admission is based on NEET scores.
Consider state quota seats in your home state if your score meets their lower cutoff.
Explore other medical or paramedical courses like BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, B.Sc Nursing, or B.Sc Radiology.
Yes, in Maharashtra state MBBS counseling , even if you get the same college in Round 2 , you can opt for upgradation in Round 3 . This is called “floating” or upgradation option , where you can apply for a better preference while retaining your existing seat.
Important points:
If you get upgraded to a better college/seat in Round 3, your Round 2 seat is automatically cancelled .
If you do not get upgraded , you will retain your Round 2 seat .
Make sure to lock your choices properly during counseling for upgradation.
Keep track of counseling dates and rules from the official Maharashtra NEET UG counseling portal .
If you completed your MBBS and want to pursue PG or postgraduate studies abroad, you will need to meet the eligibility criteria and pass the entrance exam for your targeted country. You can choose popular destination like USA, Germany, Australia, and Canada to pursue your degree.

Hello
With 367 marks in NEET, SC category, and Defence quota, you have a decent chance of getting a government MBBS seat, especially in later rounds or mop-up counselling. In the Punjab state quota, your chances improve due to the reservation benefit. MCC (All India quota) also sometimes sees seats open up in the final rounds for reserved categories. While it’s not guaranteed, your profile gives you a real shot, so don’t lose hope. Just make sure to participate in all rounds and keep your options open.
