Dear Student,
One of the main difference between University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is that the later one basically deals with technical education and Technical institutes are overlooked by the AICTE, the other universities and colleges fall under the UGC.
UGC is the apex body that approves universities in the country. UGC provide funds for affiliated universities and colleges.
A candidate can get government jobs by both the colleges whether it is approved by UGC or AICTE.
Thank You.

Hello dear student,
Here I would like to give some light on UGC and bci individually.
So UGC is University grants commission of India which is a statutory body set up by the Indian union government in accordance to the UGC act 1956 under the ministry of human resource development. and it is charged with coordination determination and maintenance for the standards of higher education. The work of UGC is to provide the recognition to the universities in India and it also regulate are disburses the funds to such universities and colleges.
Now as far as the bar council of India is concerned it is a statutory body established under the section 4 of advocates act 1961 which regulate the legal practice and legal education in India.the members of DCI are elected among the lawyers in India and as such represents the Indian bar. it keeps a check on professional conduct etiquettes and exercises disciplinary action over the bar. it also sets the standard for legal education and grants recognition to the universities whose degree in law will serve as qualification for students to enroll themselves as advocate upon graduation .
so both bodies have their own work you cannot tell which one is superior and which one is not as both have their own works to do and both a prestigious at their own level.
Thank you
dear aspirant,
all the colleges comes under some or the other university, now if your university is UGC recognised, it automatically means that your college is also UGC recognised too.
although, even if it isn't, you have already taken admission in that college, so, you can not do anything about it.
hope that helps
all the best
