The course of Msc chemistry is not a very job oriented course. It is more inclined towards research and higher studies. Though IIT-KGP is one of the best institutes of India and will definitely provide you ample opportunities for any kind of jobs available for the master's graduate in chemistry. Most of your jobs will be average one's ranking from 7lpa to 15lpa at max. These jobs might not be in your core field, you can also get some core jobs and they will be paying very good, but sadly they will be hardly hiring one or two students from your batch. You might also get a teaching job in Kota which has been the preferred destination of BS-MS students from IITs. Your best chance would be to go abroad for higher studies and then try in academic sector.
