Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional entrance examination or (JKBOPEE) conducts the Counseling for PG admission in Medical colleges by following the norms given below -

• 50% seats reserved for All India Quota students.

• 50% seats reserved for State quota students.

There are 4 medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir -

• Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences, Jammu - 18 seats

• Government Medical College, Srinagar - 173 seats

• Government Medical College, Jammu - 140 seats

• Sher-I-Kashmir institute of Medical sciences, Srinagar - 128 seats
