Both the colleges are good so it will be difficult to choose one of them but from my point of view bits is better than nit because - 

1) bits has no reservation quota so all students have joined on the basis of merit list so they have a upper hand with respect to quality of students. 

2) infrastructure, buildings, library, teaching staff are good in both the colleges. 

3) job placements are almost same since top companies visit both colleges

4)campus life is very good in bits as there are lots of clubs and festivals which keep on going every year. 

5) you will find better hostel facilities in bits as compared to Nit but the only concern is the fees of bits which is very high so if you don't have any money problems then you should choose bits. I hope this information helps you.
