    sorry to say, but tat is not quite possible, as the companies visiting a specific iit will only consider the student of that college for its placements.The college too wont allow any outsider to sit in their placement drives, as it will overlap the placement chances of their own students.

if your college is not providing good offers, in terms of placements, you can try to take offcampus placements, where you might encounter even greater opportunities, nut going from on eiit to the other for placements is not at all possible. IIT has a huge respect in outer world. If you give some interwiews ouside the campus, you will surely land into a job with high salary.

Well, when you  will get in  IIT it was on the basis of your GATE ranks so definitely it will be difficult .all the IIT ,they have their own syallabus everyone has different syllabus so placement as well they have a competition between them which will be number one in placements so they will not allow you to shift from one to another.it may if you have some serious medical issue then they can allow with agreement, otherwise not possible.
