According to general merit cutoffs of COMEDK in year 2018, it seems pretty difficult for you to get ECE in DSCE with a rank of 6k. Well, the closing rank for ECE in DSCE was 8460. You can try for other branches in DSCE like EEE, Mechanical engineering etc. You can also try for ECE in some other colleges too like Dayanand Sagar Academy of Technology and Management, BNM Institute of Technology etc. Please note that cutoffs can vary from year to year depending upon several factors like number of seats available, number of students taking the examination, difficulty level of the paper etc. I hope this helps.
