Hi
You can definitely start preparing for jee mains exam if you are really passionate about becoming an engineer. JEE mains entrance exam offers you top engineering colleges in the country and is a gateway for IIT's which you can get after qualifying jee advanced.
It requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Jee mains tests your knowledge on particularly 3 subjects
1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Maths
It is a computer based exam. Your evaluation will be done by NTA( NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY).
How to prepare
1. Read your text books and NCERT books and clear your concepts on every chapter. For concept clearing you can also follow H.C Verma.
2. Solve previous years question papers
3. Time bound mcq solving
4. Take care of your health
All the btech degrees are mainly 4 years and after that you can get jobs or go for your masters. If you qualify the jee mains and get a good rank you can get top engineering colleges in the country. Overall your whole journey should take 4 to 5 years if you are only opting for btech and 6 years if you are going for masters after btech.
Hope this helps

Hello Aspirant

Yes your can write JEE Mains if you are prepared for it and want to check where you stand in all India competition. You can give JEE Mains till 3 years of completing your class 12th. That means you can give JEE Mains in 2021,2022 and 2023. Now you can give 4 attempts for JEE mains in one year.

Coming on to your question, it all depends upon the study efforts you have done since your class 11th. As the syllabus of class 11th is the backbone of JEE mains, you should be well prepared with it. If you have thoroughly studied class 11th and 12th then it will be an advantage for you.

But don't stop here.
You still need a lot of practice and daily study to qualify JEE Mains. Put your maximum efforts. Get your fundamentals cleared from NCERT. Once you complete studying NCERT books, then your can go with other reference books for numericals.
Practice previous years question papers and sample papers. Keep giving mock tests so that you can track your score and improve on it. This will surely give you good results.

Hope this helps
Stay motivated
All the best
