If you are taking admission in nit now and if you want to take admission in iits,
No need to worry if you are ready to do hard work.
But there is only one option for you,
You will have to appear for jee advanced again in next year and if you get a good rank, then it's good.
You can get iit.
So,
Go for it.

Unfortunately, IIT's do not take lateral entry students. However, you can attempt the JEE-Main/Advanced again after a year to get admission. Other than that there is no way you can get admission mid-course.

You have two chances to get into IIIT. First one is again you wrote the jee mains and advanced with full dedication then you can get into IIT. second one is you try to crack the GATE. It will helps to get a seat in IIT for Mech. Hope it helps!
