Possible Institutes:

1. GFTIs (Government-Funded Technical Institutes):

   • Some of the newer or lesser-known GFTIs may offer seats in branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical , or Metallurgical Engineering .
     
     
   • Institutes like Assam University, Tezpur University, or Mizoram University may have higher cutoffs, giving you a better chance to get in.
     
     

2. IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology):

   • Admission to newer or lesser-demand IIITs (such as IIIT Kottayam, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Una ) might be possible, but branches may be in IT or Electronics-related fields .
     
     Important Considerations:

• ST Reservation: Your ST rank will significantly boost your chances, especially in newer GFTIs and IIITs .
  
  
• Multiple Rounds: Stay active in all JoSAA counseling rounds as cutoff ranks fluctuate, and you may get better opportunities in later rounds.

You can likely get admission to less competitive branches at newer GFTIs or IIITs . Keep an eye on the cutoffs during counseling.
