There are around 6,000 DNB seats, with cut offs varying by branch. For example, General Medicine closes near rank 634 in AIQ, while state cut-offs go up to 8 to 12k ranks. Branch wise, Radiology and Medicine usually close above 540 marks, while Anaesthesia is around 420 to 430. Hey! Through NEET PG 2025, you can definitely target DNB seats in some of the best institutes across India. Top hospitals in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad generally have good reputation for DNB training. Popular branches like Medicine, Pediatrics, and OBGY usually close at lower ranks, while fields like Anesthesia, Pathology, and Family Medicine remain open till higher ranks.
As for cutoffs, it changes every year depending on difficulty of paper and number of seats. In general, competitive branches like Medicine or OBGY in reputed centres close by around 6–8k rank, while less demanding ones may go up to 12–13k or even higher. My suggestion is to keep some flexibility in your branch choice and explore options in different states during counselling.
