The National Institute of Technology in Raipur has been working in a symbiotic relationship with industries ever since it's inception in 1956. About 100 leading companies from various premier industries participate in the placement process every year to recruit students.

Top companies which visited the campus last year include Industry giants like Barclays, Siemens, Adobe, Capgemini, TATA, Amazon, Oracle, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant, Samsung, Wipro and Reliance. The highest package offered in 2019 happened to be bagged by a Computer Science and Engineering student and it was valued around INR 38 Lakhs per annum. The average salary package for the same year happened to be INR 7 Lakhs per annum.
