No, your class 12th marks percentage doesn't matter for admission in NITs, IIITs etc.

This is because,

Admission in NITs, IIITs etc is completely on the basis of rank of obtained by you in JEE main examination but yes to b e eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category  or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off.

So, for admission in NITs, IIITs, this year i.e 2021 you just need to have passed your class 12th board examination ,there is no minimum percentage requirement in class 12th but if you are asking for admission in 2022 then percentage requirement of 75 - 60% will be there as per your category and then you will have to fulfill this minimum percentage requirement

If you would tell me which course you are talking about in IITs or nits whether it's for ug programme or for pg programme then I would be able to guide you in a better way. For ug programme admission is solely on the basis of jee mains and advanced rank.
