As per the previous year cutoffs you have a good chance of getting admission to the NIT Durgapur for the preferred branch that is mechanical but you might have to wait for some rounds.
And it will get you from the home state qouta.
You can also apply for NITs such as NIT Uttarakhand , NIT Patna, NITs from North-east for mechanical.
