I will suggest you to take pg from iisc..
First iit is not fully research oriented. Yes it is true that we are encouraged to do research but a lot of development work also goes on.

Second about placements. Placements here are better as compared to other IITs because at IISc we not only look at the package but also the company profile.

Advantages over other IITs

First the faculty to student ratio. As compared to other IITs here as there is no undergrad so faculties mostly concentrate on Masters and PhD.

Second The main focus of IITs are BTech guys whereas IISc was built only for masters and PhD.

Third No TA work. As there is no BTech in IISc so you don't need to do TA work to get stipend.

Fourth The full green campus. The campus here is lovely, not just the buildings but the atmosphere here is also good. That you will feel when you come here.

Fifth IISc changes your mindset and give enormous self confidence to you.

I would suggest given a chance go for IISc.
