Hello,

Your JEE Main percentile of 96.796603 is good, but admission to BTech in Computer Science (CSE) depends on factors like cutoff trends :

  1. Rank Calculation : Approximate rank = (100 - Percentile) × Total Candidates ÷ 100

    • If total candidates = ~10 lakh , your rank is around 32,000 – 35,000 .

  2. College Type :

    • NITs : Tough for top NITs, possible in newer NITs.
    • IIITs/GFTIs : Possible in lower-ranked ones.
    • State/Private Colleges : Good chances.

  3. Category Quotas : If you have OBC/SC/ST/EWS reservation, chances improve.
