Hi

Yes, you need to appear for JEE advanced if you want to get admission in IIT Guwahati or in any of the IITs.

This is because,

Admission in IITs is solely on the basis of the rank  obtained by you in JEE advanced examination and JEE main just makes you eligible for appearing for JEE advanced

And with 95 percentile,

You hold a very good chance to qualify JEE main to be eligible for JEE advanced

For example,

In 2020, qualifying cutoff for general category was 90.3765335 and jee main 2021 expected qualifying cut off percentile is 90-95 percentile.

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

If I tell you about rank required for IIT Guwahati then,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for general category closing rank for gender neutral was 8994 in jee advanced in  Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and it was for Biosciences and Bioengineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)

You can check the same at

Shailja pandey Hi
Your profile suggest that your home state is Madhya Pradesh
With 95 percentile
* your rank will be around 51150 - 57500 per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
I am extremely sorry to tell you but with above predicted rank even though you are a female, you have very low chance in top nits. With your rank you have chances in lower nits like nit sikkim and that also in lower branches like civil engineering and not in top branches like computer science.
For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, closing rank for gender female for general category was 58174 under other state in NIT sikkim and it was for civil engineering.
You can check the same at
