Yes , wbjee used to be conducted in may but date has been revised and changed this year  i.e. WBJEEB will be conducting common entrance on February 2, 2020 for admissions to the undergraduate courses in engineering and pharmacy in the state.The application form of WBJEE 2020 is now available from October 18 to November 13, 2019. The admit card will be available from January 27, 2020. The result of WBJEE 2020 will be announced in the form of the rank card.

The decision was taken to increase enrollment of students in engineering colleges across the state. In most states in India, a large number of engineering seats are finding no takers in West Bengal. The previous year, as many as 18,000 of the 32,000-odd seats have gone a-begging. Though the vacancy in engineering courses is a nationwide trend owing to a dip in job opportunities, students from Bengal continue to migrate to engineering colleges in Karnataka, Pune, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Rajasthan. Though the dip is largely due to declining job opportunities, some believe, the reason behind engineering seats remaining vacant in West Bengal is that most southern states conduct their joint engineering entrance examinations before WBJEE.
