Dear student,
Nit kurushetra is a good college to pursue civil engineering. The ranking of a college is decided ny its placements. Every year 40-50% students get placed. Companies like L&T, Bridgecon, WSP, Tata Consultancy and PSUs like IOCL, IRCON visit the campus. The average salary offered was about 4.5-5 Lacs, with the lowest salary package as 3.6 Lacs and the highest package offered was 17 Lacs by PSUs.
You can definitely practice coding in your college as a backup option. If you don't find civil placements good enough you can apply for the IT sector companies as in most of the companies they allow students from every branch to sit for the placements.
