There are various facilities offered for students at UIT Shimla. The institute has well equipped state-of-the-art laboratories and all the labs are connected via LAN. UIT Shimla facilities are a library, laboratories, cafeteria, guest house etc. Classrooms are modern with the latest communication and multimedia equipment. UIT Shimla health centre provides medical facilities round the clock to meet the medical needs of students, staff and faculty. The university does not offer hostel facilities.
