Now since 2020, NEET is the only entrance exam for admission to MBBS across India. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary Courses across India. Now AIIMS and JIPMER have been scrapped in favour of NEET and so there will be no more AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS entrance examinations.Even if you want to join either AIIMS or JIPMER, you have to appear for NEET from 2020.

As you have asked for the number of entrance test that takes place to get admission in MBBS . Earlier there were many different exams that used to take place for MBBS but now few exams are conducted and not much struggle is required to prepare for different entrance test . So the exams are AIIMS , NEET and JIPMER.
