If you aim at availing a seat via All India 15 %quota, don't settle for anything less than 570.
The higher you score above 570, the better are your chances of getting into a good medical college.
There is a slight relaxation in the cut off scores for admission via the 85 % state quota because you will be competing only with the domicile holders of your respective state.
Nonetheless, aim at scoring above 570.

It depends on your merit, you category, your state of domicile, difficulty level of NEET, and cutoff score for various colleges.
However, if you are aiming for a decent seat in any college of India through all India quota, try to have a score of 550 to 600. For state quota, a marks between 500 to 550 is good.
All the best.

Dear Student,

There is nothing called passing marks in NEET Exam. In NEET, it is qualifying marks rather which is 50th percentile for general category and 40th percentile for reserved categories. Try to score 550+. Then you'll definitely get a good medical college.
If you want to score good marks in NEET then just follow simple steps -
Clear your basic concepts.
Be thorough with NCERT textbook. Its a must.
Solve previous year question papers.
Take mock tests to assess your progress.
Solve questions from any reference book you prefer for competitive exams
Solve as much as numerical possible.
Use shortcuts to solve to save your time. Formulas to be at your Fingertips.

I know NEET is round the corner and you might be apprrehensive about admissions but please take note that every year the cut off varies depending on the level of the exam. So the best bet is to simply concentrate and revise all the syllabus.

Best of luck.

Hey,

aim for 550+ marks. These marks will keep you on safe side, and you will be able to get govt. Medical college within your state

Hey Gaya,

  • According to last year (2017) statistics, maximum rank that got a seat through 15% All India Quota was 5849 which co-relates to a score of approximately 520+.

  • Based on such trends, this year, you must focus to get a score of 550+ to ensure enrollment in a good government College.

  • If you belong to the reserved category, then you must focus on a score about 470+.

  • If you are opting for 85% State quota, it depends from State to state. However, try to score above 500+.

  • Focus on your preparations now, rather than your results. Work Hard and work Smart. Focus on concepts in the NCERT books and solve questions.
All the very best for your Preparations!
