Hello,

  • How many marks are good in NEET depends upon your target college. If you are aiming at a reputed Government Medical College, come from General Category, probably for NEET 2018, I must say you need to target 650+ marks.

  • If you are eligible for a quota benefit or are willing to shell out hefty fees to the private medical colleges, you can probably manage with even 300-350 marks.

  • But, in my opinion, even if you are eligible for a quota or your parents have real deep pockets, you should target 650+ marks. Setting a higher goal always helps you because you work accordingly. Even if your result is short of your expectations or target, you can still probably get marks decent enough to get into a government medical college or a private medical college.
Good luck.
