As per WBJEE officials, 15% of the total Engineering seats in the self-funded or private institutes of the state are reserved through JEE Main All India Quota for candidates belonging to any state of the India, however, in government colleges of West Bengal, there is no such reservation, which means that seats are offered to only domiciled candidates or the candidates belonging to the state of West Bengal only. Candidates from other states are not eligible for reservation or admission in government engineering institutes through WBJEE in the state.
