Yes, you can easily expect a seat at Jadavpur University with this marks. 88 marks will fetch you a rank which will be in the range of 950-1200 if the trend of previous year is followed. However it depends on the level of difficulty of question paper. Analysing current trade and difficulty of level of question paper of 2019 then then the rank may vary from 4000-5500. For this variation you must wait till the rank table comes out. Last year one of my friend got 97 marks with rank 863 and now he is pursuing mechanical engineering. Well, you should not expect a good stream but you can food technology, printing technology, power technology and other lower streams. If your luck is good you may get chemical, mechanical either through vacancy or through mock counseling. So best of you luck !
