HEY THERE!!!

With a MET 2025 score of 118 out of 240, your rank will probably be between 45,000 and 55,000.

Why is this estimated?

  • According to the recent trend, a MET score of approximately 120 generally converts to a rank of 40,000–55,000.
  • Your PCM and total board marks are great, but for MET, rank is calculated primarily based on your entrance exam score. Board marks are only used for eligibility purposes, not for calculating rank.

What does this imply for admissions?

  • At this rank, premier branches (such as CSE, IT, ECE) of the main Manipal campus are highly unlikely.
  • You might receive core branches such as Civil, Chemical, Biotechnology, or equivalent at Jaipur or Sikkim campuses.
  • For popular branches, you might have a possibility in subsequent rounds or for less competitive campuses.

No, you are giving completely wrong information, it is not like that!. MET rank is based on board both PCM aggregate and MRT marks both have equal weightage!!

Yaswanth Hey, you should recheck the information you are giving as the MET rank is primarily based on your MET entrance exam marks, not your board (PCM Aggregate ) marks. Board marks are not directly used in calculating your MET rank. They come into play only as tie-breaker if two or more candidates have exactly the same MET score.I hope it clears your doubt.

Hello Aspirant,

Based on your 118 out of 240 MET score, you can roughly assume a rank of around 8,000 to 12,000, though this will vary every year based on how difficult the test was and how the others did. Your 11th and 12th marks put together are terrific — 990 out of 1000 overall and 596 out of 600 for PCM — which is certainly a definite plus.

Since Manipal also takes into account your board marks at counselling, your PCM and overall marks will increase your chances of obtaining a good branch. With these marks, you will be able to get branches such as ECE, EEE, Mechatronics, or even CSE in new campuses like MIT Bengaluru. For the main Manipal campus's CSE, you may require a little better MET score.

Hello there,

Based on your MET score of 118/240 , your approximate percentile and rank can be estimated as follows:

  • Percentile : Approximately 49.17%

  • Expected Rank : Between 12,000 and 15,000 , depending on the overall performance of candidates and normalization factors.

    Board Marks Analysis

Your board marks are impressive:

  • Overall (11th + 12th) : 990/1000

  • PCM (11th + 12th) : 596/600

  • PCME + Sanskrit (12th) : 523/530

  • PCM (12th) : 326/330

These scores are excellent and will significantly enhance your overall score during the counseling process. Typically, Manipal uses a normalization process where your board marks are converted to a score out of 50, and your MET score is also converted to a score out of 50, making a total of 100. Given your board marks, you can expect a high score in this normalization.

Expected Branches and Campuses

With your MET score and excellent board marks, you may have a chance to secure admission in branches like Civil Engineering or Biotechnology at the Manipal (Karnataka) campus . However, more competitive branches such as Computer Science Engineering (CSE) , Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) , and Mechanical Engineering might be challenging to secure at the main campus. You might have better chances in these branches at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) or Manipal University Sikkim (MUS) .

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
