SSM College of Engineering, Namakkal : 

• SSM college of engineering is a private engineering college and was eshtablished in the year 1998. 
• The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and has 175 faculties.
• The college offers courses like B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MBA, MCA.
• The college provided facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, gym, library, sports, cafeteria, wifi, medical/hospital, alumni association, guest room, transport facilities etc. 

Anna University, Chennai : 

• Anna University is a public/government owned state university and was eshtablished in the year 1978. The university campus is about 256 acres with 557 faculties. 
• The university is approved by UGC and has also been accredited 'A' grade bu NAAC. The university is also ranked at 7th among postion among top universities and at 9th postion among engineering colleges by NIRF.
• The college provided facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, gym, library, sports, cafeteria, wifi, medical/hospital, alumni association, convenience store, swimming pool, bank and transport facilities etc.
• Talking about placements, a B.E./B.Tech students gets a average package of 5 Lakhs. 

Now according to me Anna University is a much better option than SSM College of Engineering. The university has more number of faculties, more teaching experience since it was eshtablished way back, better infrastructure , better facilities and placements.
