SSM College of Engineering Namakkalwas established in the year 1998, and it is run private college located Namakkal Tami Nadu India. This affiliated college is situated on a thirty point ninety three acres of land and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute teaches 16 courses spread over four programmes, for a total student enrolment of 980. Also, it enables B.Tech programmes in Information Technology, Textile Technology and Petroleum engineering. For the post graduation the college offers ME in Applied Electronics, Thermal Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, MBA and MCA. All the courses are taught as full time and normally last from 2 to 4 years depending on the intended programme.

The facilities in SSM College of Engineering do not select the students on the basis of management quota but only in accordance to the norms prescribed by the Tamil Nadu State Government.
