Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) are one of the most sought after streams in Engineering and so usually the seats get filled up really fast. The number of seats provided for CSE are 120 while for IT is 60.

If you go by the cutoffs of previous years then you will understand that you must be having a rank below 500 to get either CS or IT, which you already have.
