The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) is the most premier institute of India in the field of science education & research. There are seven IISER institutions in India at Bhopal, Mohali, Kolkata, Pune, Berhampur, Tirupati, and Thiruvananthapuram. All IISERs offer a five years dual-degree program known as BS-MS Programme. Candidates can get admission in IISER from three ways: KVPY exam (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana), JEE Advanced exam and through IISER Aptitude Test 2018 (for state board toppers).

When it comes to IISER, things become complex, because it is increasingly growing in popularity due to the high Ph.D. success rates of their graduates. It is especially true for those of Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram as their students are placed in Princeton, UCLA, UCB, Cambridge, Oxford, Yale, MPU, etc. So, their cutoffs are exponentially increasing, though a more appropriate analysis would show a geometric increase.

the total number of seats available at IISER Pune is 256.

For the JEE Stream, a very unusual and truly marvelous increase in cutoff can be noticed. Bear in mind that these are not the ELIGIBILITY cutoff; these are the effective cutoffs to which Admission was offered:
