The admission possibilities depends on the following unpredictable factors.

1. The number of students willing to take admission

2. The seat matrix of the colleges

There are about 200 seats reserved for SC candidates entering via IAT.

So, if your category rank is 1009 it is quite difficult for you to get into IISERs. You can try getting into colleges like DU with your board exam marks.
