Hi Samyak,
For IIT kanpur, 1st have to appear in JEE MAINS. Then you have to clear it to qualify for JEE ADVANCED. After that you have to rank under 1600 (according to past year cut offs)..

All that I have said, if you can manage to do that then you can get admission in Mechanical Engineering in IIT Kanpur..

Scope : core stream has always Geart scope in market, specially when you're doing it from IIT'S..
