I was born in Maharashtra and lived there till 4 years old. Now I'm living in Kerala for a while now, which exam should I attend, Maharashtra entrance exam or Kerala engineering entrance exam

Hello aspirant,

You must appear for that entrance exam for the state you have the domicile for. Means that, if you have a domicile for the state of Maharashtra, then you must appear for MHTCET, otherwise if you have the domicile certificate for Kerela state, then you must appear and give KCET exam.

This is important because with the domicile state certificate you can easily get reservation as a Home state quota and could also get a chance for getting the government colleges of that state under home state quota. Although, you can give state level entrance exams in other states as well, but since if you don't have the domicile certificate for other state, then you will have to satisfy yourself with the private colleges in that state.
