Hey,
IIEST SHIBPUR used to take admission through WBJEE till 2014 and was previously known as Bengal Engineering College and was under state government. In 2014/15 ,it came under central government and came to be known as IIEST Shibpur .
If you are interested in Mechanical Engineering then you should opt for Jadavpur University because it is better than IIEST Shibpur and it takes admission through WBJEE . Last year closing rank was 843 in spot round and he got around 98 marks in WBJEE .Hope it helps.
