Dear Aspirant,

Both public/government institutes are very neck to neck in terms of the facilities provided and infrastructure or in terms of NIRF ranking or infrastructure. However, I would suggest you to look for COEP.

College of Engineering, Pune is one of the oldest established Institutes of the city for engineering as it came to existence since 1854, while IIIT Jabalpur is a relatively new Institute. COEP has broader alumni network and therefore a very good astute faculty members since many many years teaching in the institute.

IIIT Jabalpur has an edge over COEP in terms of facilities provided like better hostel facilities and surrounding and convenience store.

COEP has less fees than IIIT Jabalpur as it charges an amount close to 3.6 lakhs for graduation whereas the latter Institute charges a sum of 5.6 lakhs. Furthermore, in terms of placement, the former Institute( 7.7 lakhs) is slightly better than that of the latter Institute (7.3 lakhs per annum). Moreover, COEP is a better ranked Institute than IIIT Jabalpur by the slightest of margins. It has even greater intake of students and candidates can apply for its admission both through JEE MAINS as well as MHT CET.

As far as mechanical or Electronics is concerned, it always depends on the interest of the candidate. In terms of placement, the average salary offered is same, although the intake of students for mechanical engineering department is twice that of Electronics (120 vs 60), so you have better chance there in getting admission.

Choose that college which suits your interests more. Good luck.

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about the comparison between these three colleges with respective branches.

I would personally recommend you corp Maharashtra electronics as this college has better placements statistics in comparison to other colleges in mechanical branch. This college gives much opportunities to explore yourself with different clubs and activities.
