a branch of engineering concerned primarily with the location and evaluation of mineral deposits, the survey of mining areas, the layout and equipment of mines, and the supervision of mining operations.
Placements: Mining machinery engineering is a good department with a 100% placement record. This year, all the students got placed. The average package offered is 8 LPA. This year, four students of 3rd year got intern at Tata Hitachi and Shree Cements.


As it is a new IIIT, it's performing far better than other IIITs. This year, placements were 100% as told by our college. The highest salary package offered was around 44 LPA, and it was provided by Amazon Luxembourg. The average salary package offered in CSE is 12 LPA, and for ECE, it is 8 LPA

See IIT DHANBAD is one of the pioneers in the geological science and engineering. So if you go for it then you will surely get enough scope from the university to get established in the field. Now I would say as both the institute are good you have to choose the field of your interest. IIIT Sricity offers CSE which may get you a better career prospect ahead if you are keen in coding. If you are interested in machines and want to explore and conceptualize machinery then IIT Dhanbad will be a great place for you. So both the career path are good but CSE can lead you to a more lucrative future where as in Mining you may not be able to see that kind of lucracy in future.
