It depends on the institute or college you are applying. Some colleges take students on merit basis i.e grade or percentage you obtained in your graduation. Most of the time the intake is decided on the basis of entrance exam score. If you appear for entrance exams you will have more chance to get into a good college and wider options to choose from.
