iiest shibpur is the 2nd oldest engineering college in all of India ranking 43 in general among all colleges and 21 by NIRF 2020. It has been a prominent institute in all of India. Aerospace is a new department of IIEST formed in 2011 branching from mechanical department and it is a government institution. VIT is one of the best college for aerospace engineering.
Facultywise IIEST us better than VIT with the mechanical department regarded as one of the premier department honing some of the best faculty members present.
Placement wise both are good. In both the companies hire students and offer them good salary with median salary of about 6.5 LPA
Between VIT bhopal and IIEST it is very hard to choose but being the fact IIEST is a government college and homes some of the best faculty members and at a much lower expense.
