Yes, you can pursue BS from IISC as it is available there in six major disciplines like (1) Biology (2) Chemistry (3) Earth & Environmental Science (4) Materials (5) Mathematics (6) Physics. The major discipline chosen will appear in the degree certificate of each graduate. Also, this will be a four year undergraduate Bachelor of Science programme (research on the basis of their performance in any one of the entrance exams - KVPY, JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

You can take the admission for BS in IISC. It takes the admission through KVPY, JEE Main, JEE Advance, NEET UG for undergraduate programmes.

The Eligibility

  • Candidates have to pass 10+2 or PUC examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as a main subject from a recognized board.
  • Candidates who have studied Biology, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics, etc., in addition to PCM are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates have to secure a first class or 60% or equivalent grade in a qualifying examination.

Yes, it provides B.SC course. Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers admission to its four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme.

 

Below is the eligibility criteria you can check

The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard. Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination.

 

Selection Criteria-

1- Through KVPY

2- (IIT)JEE-Main: Minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)

3- (IIT)JEE-Advanced: Securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)

4- NEET-UG: Securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD).

 

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Person with disability (PWD) and Kashmiri-Migrant (KM) candidates: As per Government of India regulations.
