Getting into IIM any is many students dream.
However, due to extre competition and rigrous course it only stays a dream for many.
I will advice you to start preparing for iim from today.

The field of study which MBA offers isn't really confined to one particular subject or branch. You can do MBA after doing BTECH or BSc or anything of your preference. 

Doing MBA should be  choice, a preference of one, if you have always seen yourself as a good leader, possess good managing skills and are interested in working in a team together while leading from the front then mba is the call for you. You can definitely do MBA even after BSC physics and use your bachelor's knowledge too.
