Dear Chiranth, you haven't mentioned the course that you want to take up in MSRIT. You should consider few things before changing your college if the stream is the same. First comes the fees part. You might have to pay the entire course fees to DSCE as they are foregoing a prospective seat for that entire duration of the course. Say you are ready to pay the fees. Now MSRIT should have a vacant seat in the Telecommunications stream and should be willing to take you. For this, you need to speak to the Administrative authorities of both the colleges. Let's say this process has been successful. Now you need to think about the placements. If you are shelling a huge amount for the same course twice, your placement should be good enough to cover you for that transfer. So you should get into a big firm that can pay you. You should consider which institute has better placement opportunities. This is the point where you shouldn't be settling for anything just good. Your parent's sacrifice of two college fees foe the same course cannot be compensated with a mediocre placement. So I would suggest you to reach out to both their placement cells to check the previous student's placements.

Thank you
The problem for the fact is that both the colleges come in the top 5 colleges of Bangalore aswell as both the colleges have similar placements,  but the reason i am considering to change the college is distance , it takes me 1 hr to go to DSCE but it would take me 5 kin to go to MSRIT . So it is a situation of utter confusion, please help me out !!

Dear Chiranth, it used to take me 1hr to travel from Marathahalli to Bellandur. So, I understand your situation. Bangalore has its traffic woes. Now let me tell how it was my experience when I moved to a closer by place because my previous college was far from home. First things first, I missed the quality of education that was being taught to me until then. My lecturers and friends only spoke in the local language and my communication had to be in local language. So my communication skills went for a ride. Second off, I had much time at hands now and slowly started off wasting it putting everything for another day and that another day never came - Until my mother disciplined me.

Now let's say you join new college, you spend an amount. If this amount can be saved wouldn't it be useful if you ever want to pursue your Masters in India or abroad? May be if this money is put in a FD for a certain period until you finish your graduation or apply for your Masters, this amount can be useful. This is just a thought.
