Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) is a state university located in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the NIRF report of 2018, it ranks among the top 15o universities in India. SMVDU is accredited by the UGC

Admissions are both entrance and merit based. To be eligible for MBA, you must have cracked the CAT/ MAT/ CMAT. Direct entry is not available for the Indian National candidates. The entrance will be followed by a GD and then a PI.

The scholarships offered for MBA Program:

• Above 90 percentile in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for I year & 50% Tuition Fee waiver for II Year
• Between 85 to 90 percentile in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for I year
• Between 80 to 85 percentile in MAT/CMAT: 50% Tuition Fee waiver for I year

This is worth to join SMVD University for MBA. The fees for MBA course is around  3.42 Lakhs whereas the hostel charge for boys is around 28000 per year. Apart from this the mess charges are not so much. Overall this would cost you around 5 lakhs. But all the facilities are nice here.

Placements for MBA are also average. Teachers are good and hostel facilities are also good. This college is UGC approved. In my viewpoint this is worth for MBA.
