Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Katra admissions are available for various undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated, and Ph.D. programmes and it offers various specialisations under each programme. The grades received in the university's entrance test or the national level examination are used to determine admission to various UG and PG programmes. SMVDU UG Admission

SMVDU B.Tech Admission Procedure

• The candidate should appear for the JEE main/CUET UG examination and secure a valid score in it.

• The candidate who meets the eligibility criteria can apply for admission.

• The SMVDU admission will be shortlisted based on the student's JEE main rank.

• The shortlisted candidate should go for the next step, which is counselling.

• The selected candidate should submit the documents.

• The final stage of the admission procedure is paying the course fees. 

SMVDU B.Arch Admission Procedure 

• The candidate should appear for JEE (main) Paper II/NATA examination and obtain a valid score. 

• candidates who have not appeared in NATA must take the entrance exam.

• The candidates will be shortlisted based on the JEE/NATA score.

• The selected candidates should submit the documents.

• The candidate must appear for the CAT/MAT/CMAT examinations and secure a valid score. 

• The eligible candidates should fill out the application form.

• The candidates will be shortlisted for the next procedure which includes group discussion/personal interview/essay writing.

• The SMVDU admissions will be shortlisted based on the valid score in CAT/MAT/CMAT and performance in group discussion/ personal interview/essay writing.

SMVDU Admissions - M. Sc & Integrated Programme With Exit Option after B.A. (Hons.) /B.Sc. (Hons.) /B.B.A. (Hons.)

The SVDMU Admission offers the M. Sc. programme and also provides a variety of specialisations, including Mathematics, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and Biotechnology. The SVDMU also offers a Bachelor of Arts programme for graduates in which English, Sanskrit, Journalism and Mass Communication, or Philosophy can pursue to gain in-depth knowledge of their subject. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers a five-year integrated programme with an exit option. The exit option allows candidates enrolled in the five-year after-school programme to leave after successfully completing three years of studies with a B.A. (Hons.) /B.Sc. (Hons.) /B.B.A. (Hons.) degree.

SMVDU Admission Process - M.Sc/M.A

• The candidate must first apply online for admission and then take the SMVDUEE entrance exam for all of the above-mentioned courses except M.Sc Biotechnology. 

• Candidates for M.Sc. Biotechnology must have a valid GAT-B score.

• Candidates with a valid CCMN score are exempt from the entrance exam.

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on their entrance exam results.

• Shortlisted candidates must participate in the document verification and fee payment process.

SMVDU Ph.D Admission

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra admissions offer for a doctoral programme. Interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to get admission to the university. The duration of the doctoral programme is 6 years.

SMVDU Ph.D Admission Procedure

• The candidate has to appear for the entrance test and must secure 60% marks.

• The eligible candidate must apply for admission from the university website with the required information.

• The admission exam is not required of those who have been shortlisted, with the exception of those who have done an M.Phil programme or who have earned a teacher fellowship or who have passed the UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), UGC-NET (including JRF), SLET, or GATE.

• The qualified candidates must appear for the viva or interview.

• The candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam as well as performance in viva or interview.

• The shortlisted candidates must submit all the required documents along with the fee payment to freeze the seat.
