All your present efforts are going to pay off in the long run. Today's pain is tomorrow's gain. You have to  be patient enough to see things happening. 

Not only class 12 but also class 10th marks will be counted. Medical and engineering colleges have become really strict in this regard. THis gives a fair chance to the more deserving student. They will check your academic record and accordingly put you through. What they are looking for is consitency in performing. You will have to maintain a good record and everything will be in your favour. Hard work and patience is the key to success.

Yes it also matter at the time of admission if you percentage is good then the chances are there to decrease the fees and they have some limited seat who they will give to those who get good rank in 12th even in 10th also. So this kind of thing will matter to your further studies.
