Admission to postgraduate courses at the University of Kashmir is based on either merit or an entrance examination. A valid GATE score is required for admission to the M.Tech programme at the university. Admission to MBA/ MCME/ MFC programmes is based on CAT/ CMAT scores. Admission to M.Sc Biotechnology is granted based on a valid University of Kashmir score. Admission to the M.P.Ed programme is determined by a physical efficiency test administered by the university. Aside from these courses, admission to PG courses at the University of Kashmir is based on merit in the previous qualifying examination.
