185 Marks = 1 to 20 ranks.

180 Marks = 20 to 80 ranks.

175 Marks = 80 to 130 ranks.

170 Marks = 130 to 200 ranks.

130 to 100= 201 to 500 ranks.

170 + for cs don't misunderstand

Under 50000  rank u will definitely get respectful private colleages under wbjee like haldia and heritage but with lower branch like  instrumentation and control engg.,electronics and instrumentation ,production engineering ,biotechnology and food technology .
I am answering this question because my wbjee rank in  2107 was around 50000 and  I got admission in 'haldia institute of technology ' with 'instrumentation and control engineering' branch but remember one thing that branch dosen't matter much  because for placement mostly IT company visit here in HIT not only in HIT but in most of the engg. colleages of kolkata except  top government colleages . So if you want job in campus placement then you will have to sit for placement in IT companies like wipro , Infosys,techmahindra....irrespective of your branch and all student are treated equally either you are from PE,ME,CE,EI,IC....but you must have some software knowledge but don't worry about that your friend from software branch will help you to develope your software knowledge or else go other cities like hydrabad ,delhi etc in summer training to learn programming language like c ,c++,java,python etc  or to learn networking,hacking etc as IT companies recruit engg.students in bulk with fair package.Core company also visit colleage but very few 1 or 2  and  hardly they recruit  4-5 student from core branch .
