IISER stands for the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research which is a research oriented college and takes admission on the basis IISER Entrance Examination, KVPY as well as JEE Advanced score. Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable for getting admission into IISERs.

Inorder to get admission into IISER, the candidate must secure a rank within 10000 in his category such as General,OBC,SC or ST category.
