It is really difficult for you to get a spot in any of the rounds in DTU ME BTech. It is a sought after university and you definitely need a rank which can compete with the other applicants to get admission in that college. You acn try nonetheless.

With this rank it is almost impossible for you to get not just mechanical engineering but also any other branch in DTU even if you are a resident of Delhi. Therefore you should try for admission in other private colleges or you can also choose to prepare for JEE next year if you have a zeal for it. Hope this helps.
